So many builders with which we work have added “On your Lot / Land” building to their repertoire, so we thought it would be beneficial for others to learn from them, and to hear first-hand how to successfully navigate this highly lucrative area of building new homes (when done correctly).

Mike is a third generation builder based in charming Holland, MI, successfully building in communities, "in-fills”, and “OYL” throughout West Michigan.
Mike has so much practical experience and common sense, and he shares his information memorably with his dry Michigan humor. Mike discusses how he has been successful by “Staying Within His Lanes” and not trying to be all things to all people, e.g. “Not building cattle sheds” and how “Speed Sells”.
Jeremy Jackson is a 4th generation builder and his family has been building in the New Bern area for just over 75 years. Like Mike, Jeremy also builds in communities, some "in-fills" and “OYL” in scenic New Bern, NC. Jeremy shared some of the decision making that caused him to add OYL to his repertoire and many practical tips, such as developing relationships with lenders, who can make or break your OYL division. He also shared the importance of training.
